Level I Mat Instructor
Course Description
Mat level 1 is a two day, weekend course.
Pre-requisites: Prior participation in 10 to 20 mat classes,
review of Suggested Readings and The Body College, Mat Level I Instructor Manual.
Body College Pilates teaches "not
just exercises"; we teach the underlying details and depth of the movements that make up the classic Pilates mat
repertoire. We approach the work from a non-intimidating, down to earth perspective. The mat level 1 is a “hands-on
course” that will give you the confidence to teach Pilates mat classes in the most efficient and fun way possible.
You will learn the following core concepts and movements in the Mat Level I certification course:
20 Foundation Movements that form the
language of movement used to cue your class toward ideal form and function
25 Pilates Mat Exercises: beginner to intermediate
level
Anatomy 101 Basic Pilates Anatomy
